Hostara ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Hostara iOS application.

By using Hostara, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information to provide and improve our service:

• Account information — your name and email address when you sign up
• Property data — property names, addresses, photos, and details you enter
• Reservation data — guest names, emails, check-in/check-out dates, and amounts
• Financial data — revenue and expense records you create within the app
• Device information — FCM token for push notifications

How We Use Your Information

We use your information exclusively to provide the Hostara service:

• To store and display your properties and reservations
• To send automated emails to your guests — check-in instructions, confirmations, review reminders
• To send you push notifications about upcoming check-ins and check-outs
• To generate AI-powered price recommendations and guest guides
• To sync your calendar with Airbnb and Booking.com via iCal

AI Features

Hostara uses Claude AI (by Anthropic) to generate guest guides and price recommendations. When using these features, relevant property and reservation details are sent to Anthropic's API. This data is processed according to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

We do not use your data to train AI models.

Third-Party Services

Hostara integrates with the following third-party services:

• Supabase — secure database and authentication
• Firebase — push notification delivery
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• RevenueCat — subscription management
• Anthropic Claude — AI features
• Stripe — payment processing for guest payments

We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

Data Security

• Row-level security — you can only access your own data
• Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmission
• Optional Face ID / Touch ID app lock
• Secure authentication via Supabase Auth

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We do not display advertisements. Your data is shared only with the third-party services listed above, solely to deliver the Hostara service.

Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at hello@gethostara.com. We will permanently delete all your data within 30 days of your request.

GDPR & EU Users

If you are located in the European Union, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You also have the right to data portability and to object to processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@gethostara.com.

Children's Privacy

Hostara is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
